Northwestern Oklahoma State University head basketball coach Andrew Brown has announced the signing of Thiago Guilherme to play basketball for Northwestern next season.
A 6-5 transfer from Seward County (Kan.) Community College, Guilherme will come in as a sophomore after one year of playing for the Saints. While at Seward, he averaged 4.1 points, four rebounds and over a steal per game. The native of Bauru, Brazil was coached by Bryan Zollinger at Seward.
“Thiago is a hard-nosed wing/forward that will be a great asset to us defensively and on the boards,” commented Brown. “He brings energy, toughness and a sound feel for the game on both ends of the floor. I like getting guys that come from tough programs and coach Zollinger stresses many of the same things that we do.”
