WOMEN’S GOLF TEAM FINISHES FIFTH AT BISON INVITATIONAL

WOMEN’S GOLF TEAM FINISHES FIFTH AT BISON INVITATIONALSHAWNEE, Okla. – The Lady Ranger golf team took fifth place at the Oklahoma Baptist Bison Invitational played at the Shawnee Country on April 7. Because of high winds on Monday, the event was trimmed down from a two-day 36 hole contest to an 18-hole tournament.

 

Northwestern finished 10 strokes behind host Oklahoma Baptist, who finished fourth, with a 389 team score.

 

Linda Ladd led the Rangers with a 44-49—93 and tied for ninth place, while Cari Hall was a stroke behind in a tie for 12th place with a 45-49—94. Meghan Carey shot a 46-49—95 and tied for 16th, while Emily Beard rounded out the scoring with a 48-59—107.

 

The Northwestern women’s team will round out the season at the Regional Tournament at Lincoln Park – West Golf Course in Oklahoma City on April 20-21.
