SHAWNEE, Okla. – The Northwestern Ranger golf team finished seventh out of the nine team Bison Invitational Tournament hosted by Oklahoma Baptist at the par 71, 6,851–yard Shawnee Country Club on Tuesday. The tournament was shortened to one day because of high winds on Monday.
The Rangers collectively shot a 350, which was 66 over par.
Bryant Briggs led the Ranger golfers with a 41-39—80 and finished in 17th place. Ty Billey carded a 47-41—88 for a tie for 33rd, while Brent Anderson was a stroke more, with a 44-45—89. Matt Kirk was tied for 40th with a 45-48—93 and Jay Lee shot a 43-54—97 and was tied for 44th.
The Northwestern men’s team will close the season at the Regional Tournament at Dornick Hills in Ardmore on April 27-28.
