HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Northwestern men’s golf team took to a third place finish on Tuesday at the Warrior Invitational played at the Highlands Golf Club in Hutchinson, Kan. The Rangers shot a 669, putting them behind tournament winner Dodge City Community College who shot 627 and host Sterling College who recorded a 635.
Chad Piper led the Rangers with an 82-76—158 and tied for fourth place in the event. Jay Lee shot an 85-82—167 to be in a tie for 13th, while Bryant Briggs carded a 93-79—172. Chadd Kunkel finished tied for 25th with an 89-84-173, as Tyler Mays shot a pair of 92’s for a 184 stroke total.
The Northwestern’s men’s team will round out the season at the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament played at Dornick Hills Country Club in Ardmore on April 19-20.
