OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Northwestern women’s golf team rounded out the 2008-09 season at the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament played at Lincoln Park–West Golf Course in Oklahoma City on Tuesday, April 21.
Northwestern finished sixth, 31 strokes shy of fifth place Oklahoma Baptist. The Rangers shot a team total of 728, while the Bison shot a 697. Oklahoma City University won the event with a 581 and had four of the top five golfers.
For the second consecutive tournament, Linda Ladd led Northwestern. Ladd carded an 86 on Monday and shot a 90 on Tuesday. Meghan Carey and Carey Hall were far behind Ladd, with Carey shooting an 88-90--178 and Hall recording an 87-93--180. Emily Beard shot a 91-103--194, while Amber Gilchrist rounded out the Ranger’s scores with a 129-103--232.
