Junior Northwestern Oklahoma State University outfielder Dana Gandolfo has been named the NAIA National Softball Player of the Week for the week of April 6-12.
Gandolfo, from Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada, batted .625 with a 1.167 slugging percentage, while Northwestern recorded a 4-2 record over the week with a sweep against Mid-America Christian and splits over USAO and No. 21 Southern Nazarene. In a double header against No. 21 Southern Nazarene, Gandolfo went a combined 6-10 at the plate with two homeruns and eight RBI. In six games, she went 15-for-24 with two triples, three home runs and 14 runs batted in.
Gandolfo is the first Ranger softball player to garner the NAIA National Softball Player of the Week since the program began in 2001.
