LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Northwestern women’s golf team won the Ottawa University Invite on Thursday, April 1, by shooting rounds of 368 and 381. Northwestern defeated host Ottawa University by 103 strokes at the par 72, 6,014 yard Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence, Kan.
Cari Hall won medalist honors with a first round score of 80 and a second round score of a 93, putting her at 173 for the tournament. Ida Arvidsson came in second place with a 90-96—186. Emilee Beard carded a 96-95—191 to finish tied for fifth, while Brettany Meredith and Meagan Scott finished 10th and 12th, respectively with rounds of 199 and 216.
The Ranger women will head to Hutchinson, Kan. on April 5-6 to play at the Highlands Golf Club in the Sterling Invitational.
