BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – Amanda Dixon won her sixth tournament of the 2010-11 season, as Northwestern finished first at the Oklahoma Wesleyan Invitational played on March 28-29 at Hillcrest Country Club in Bartlesville.
Northwestern shot 372 in both rounds of the two-day tournament and won the event by 19 strokes. Conference foe Rogers State University took second place with a 763 total.
Amanda Dixon held the 10-stroke tournament lead as she shot an 86-88—174. Fellow Lady Ranger Stephanie Martin took second place with a 94-90—184. Cari Hall was two shots back of Martin for a fourth place finish, shooting a pair of 93’s for a 186 total. Jacey Ford and Hope Conneywerdy took 11th and 12th place, respectively, as Ford carded a 99-101-200 and Conneywerdy shot a 102-102—204. Madison Howard, who was competing as an individual, finished in 19th with a 108-109—217.
Northwestern’s next tournament stop will be in Shawnee for the Oklahoma Baptist Spring Invite on April 4-5 at the Shawnee Country Club.
