BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – The Northwestern Ranger golf team competed in their second tournament of the spring, placing seventh out of 10 teams at the OWU Invitational March 28-29 at Hillcrest Country Club in Bartlesville, Okla.
The Rangers finished with a team total of 337 the first day and finished two shots better on day two with a score of 335. The two-day total was good for a 672. Rogers State University won the event with a 609.
Chad Piper led Northwestern with a 79-83—162 and finished in 15th place. Kyle Ward tied for 16th with an 85-78-163. Tyler Mays was tied for 35th with a 90-85-175. Benjamin Eastes carded an 87-89-176 and tied for 37th, while C.J. Wilson shot an 86-91-177 finishing 39th. Jay Lee and Drew Holden played as individuals for Northwestern. Jay Lee tied for 37th with an 86-90-176 and Drew Holden finished 45th with a 90-95-185.
The next tournament for the Rangers is on April 4-5 at the Oklahoma Baptist University Spring Invite at Shawnee Country Club in Shawnee, Okla.
