Four Northwestern Ranger basketball players were honored by the Sooner Athletic Conference as they were named to the all-conference teams. Termaine Snyder, Brandon Brown, Catrell Currie and Felipe Eichenberger all were selected to the teams.
Termaine Snyder, a 6-6 senior from Memphis, Tenn., was named second-team all-conference. Snyder led the Rangers in scoring, averaging 13.3 points per game, for a total of 399 points for the season. He led the team in block shots (38) and added 37 assists, 20 steals and 201 rebounds. Snyder was the only player to start and play in all 30 games with a total 909 minutes played on the season. He was selected third-team all-conference last season.
Brandon Brown, a 5-9 junior guard from Houston, Tex., was named second-team all-conference for the second consecutive year. He led the Rangers in assist (80) and steals (59). Brown shot 37.1 percent from the field and was second in three-pointers, hitting 45-of-148. He became the 20th Ranger to score 1,000 points.
Catrell Currie, a 6-0 guard from Dallas, Tex., was selected to the Sooner Athletic Conference honorable mention squad. Currie led the Rangers and Sooner Athletic Conference with the most three-pointers made (81). He led Northwestern in three-point percentage (42.6), free throw percentage (82.7) and was third in total points (350).
Felipe Eichenberger, a 6-8 senior center from Sao Paulo, Brazil, was selected as academic all-conference for the second consecutive year.
