GARDEN CITY, Kan. – The Ranger golf team took a fourth place finish home at the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Spring Invitational played March 14-15 at the 6,767 yard, par 72 Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Garden City, Kan.
The Rangers shot a 319 on Monday and improved by three strokes on Tuesday with a 316 for a two day total of 635. Northwestern was just two shots off of third place as Dodge City Community College shot a 633. Bethany College won the event with a two over par 578.
Bryant Briggs led Northwestern with a 79-78—157 and finished in a tie for 11th. Benjamyn Eastes tied for 13th shooting 79-80—159 as C.J. Wilson was tied for 17th with an 81-79—160. Chad Piper and Tyler Mays tied for 19th as they both shot a 161. Drew Holden rounded out the Rangers’ scoring as he carded a 79-90—169 for 23rd.
The Ranger golf team will return to action on March 28-29 at the Oklahoma Wesleyan Invitational played at Hillcrest Country Club in Bartlesville.
