GUTHRIE, Okla. – The Ranger men’s and women’s golf team came away successful at the Northwestern Oklahoma State/Hill College Dual played at par-70 Aqua Canyon Golf Course in Guthrie on March 10-11.

The Ranger women placed first, second and third, with Emilee Beard taking medalist honors with an 86-92—178. Stephanie Martin and Ida Arviddson tied for second, carding 181’s. Cari Hall finished in third for Northwestern with a 186. Meagan Scott rounded out Northwestern’s scores with a 231.

On the men’s side, Chad Piper led the way for the Rangers with a 78-75—153 for a third place finish. Bryant Briggs and Jay Lee tied for eighth, both shooting 162. Tyler Mays finished in ninth place with an 81-87—168, while Chadd Kunkel and Jesse Buzzard both shot 170 to tie for tenth. Matt Stratton took eleventh with a 91-83—174.

Both teams will play their next tournament at the South Central Kansas Spring Invitational at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Winfield, Kan. on March 22-23.
