NORTHWESTERN WOMEN SNUBBED BY OKLAHOMA CITY

Rachel WilczekOKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Ranger women were defeated 86-37 against No. 15 Oklahoma City University in Northwestern’s first game of its final week of the regular season at Abe Lemons Arena in Oklahoma City.

 

The Stars led Northwestern all but the first five minutes, while Laura Duncan led the way for OCU with a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds.

 

The Lady Rangers collectively shot 30 percent as the Stars dropped in 49 percent of their shots.

 

Rachel Wilczek was Northwestern’s leading scorer with seven points. Kelli Krows and Claudia Vazquez scored six points. Krows hit two of NWOSU’s five three-pointers.

 

The Lady Rangers were beat on the boards 49-22, as OCU scored 29 points off of 21 Lady Ranger turnovers.

 

Northwestern (11-16, 6-15) closes out the regular season with Mid-America Christian at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28 in Oklahoma City.
