OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Northwestern completed its first sweep of Oklahoma City since joining the Sooner Athletic Conference, during the 2001-02 season, as the Rangers took a 63-56 win at Abe Lemons Arena on Thursday, Feb. 26.
After a low-scoring first half, in which the Rangers led 22-17, Northwestern went on to outscore the Stars 41-39 in the second period.
Four Rangers found double figures, with Brandon Dixon being the game’s high scorer with 18 points. Catrell Currie banged in five three-pointers for 15 points, while Termaine Snyder and Brandon Brown had 12 and 11 points, respectively. Dixon and Brown led the Rangers with eight rebounds.
Northwestern hit 35 percent of its shots and held the Stars to 33 percent.
The Rangers (19-10, 14-7) will play its regular season finale on Saturday, Feb. 28 against Mid-America Christian in Oklahoma City at 8 p.m.
