MOORE, Okla. – The Ranger softball team improved to 7-4 on the early season, with a 12-4 and 20-1 doubleheader sweep over Hillsdale Baptist in Moore on Tuesday.
Northwestern ripped 27 hits, while holding Hillsdale to nine hits on the afternoon.
Amy Ramirez (3-0) picked up the win in the opener and Renea Tarwater improved her record to 2-2 on the season with the win in game two.
Tanya Parker led the Ranger in average for the day, going 4-for-5 and with two doubles. Shalee Shafer picked up three hits in four at bats and also hit two doubles, as Jeana Hancock was 5-for-7 with three runs and three doubles.
Northwestern (7-4) heads to Sterling College (Kan.) on Saturday, Feb. 28 for a 1:30 p.m. doubleheader.
