AUSTIN, Tex. – The Ranger baseball team picked up three more wins this weekend, taking three games in a four-game series from Huston-Tillotson University.
On Saturday, Northwestern split, winning game one 9-6 and dropped game two 3-1. Josh Swain got the win in the opener.
The Rangers swept Sunday with an 11-1 five-inning run-rule and won the nightcap 4-2. Garry Thomas got the complete game win in the opener, while Jeremy Lawson won game two
The Rangers improved to 9-2 overall and will travel to Wayland Baptist this weekend to begin Sooner Athletic Conference play. The series begins Friday, Feb. 26 with a doubleheader at 2 p.m. The two teams will finish the three games on Sunday, Feb. 27 with a nine inning game at 1 p.m.
