ALVA, Okla. – The Northwestern Oklahoma State women’s basketball team 10 three-pointers while picking up a 72-63 win on Saturday afternoon against Mid-America Christian, moving to 11-14 overall and to 5-12 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
The Lady Rangers took a 31-28 halftime lead and led by as much as nine points, two different times in the second half, to down the Lady Evangels.
Three players for Northwestern hit double figures, with Autumn Klugh nailing six three-pointers and three free throws for a game-high 21 points. Rachel Wilczek added two treys, while scoring 15 points and Annalena Farias kicked in 10 points. Audrey Richmond led the Lady Rangers in rebounding, with eight boards.
Northwestern was 21-of-56 from the field (38%) and an even better 10-of-19 from three-point range.
Mid-America Christian’s Michelle Hardimon and Karina Trindade both scored 18 points to pace the Lady Evangels.
The Lady Rangers (11-14, 5-12) head to Shawnee on Thursday for a 6 p.m. game with Oklahoma Baptist.
