OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – In the second meeting between the Lady Rangers and Oklahoma City Stars, Northwestern suffered a 77-50 road loss, allowing the Stars to sweep Northwestern in the two-game series.
Oklahoma City jumped out to a double-digit lead with 8:39 in the first half in route to a 33-15 halftime lead. Northwestern remained down in the second half by double figures, despite raising it’s second half field goal percentage to 50 percent.
Northwestern’s Autumn Klugh was the lone Lady Ranger in double figures, scoring 11 points. Klugh hit two of the four Ranger three-pointers. Mandy Norman hit a three, while scoring eight points and Rachel Wilczek also added a three-pointer on her way to scoring seven points.
The Lady Rangers shot 37 percent, as the opposition converted 52 percent. Northwestern held the Stars to 5-of-17 from beyond the arc.
Oklahoma City was paced by Holly Hardin’s 15 points.
Northwestern (10-14, 4-12) will next play Mid-America Christian at 2 p.m. in Percefull Fieldhouse on Saturday, Feb. 13.
