BETHANY, Okla. – After a seven-point victory over Southern Nazarene more than a month ago, the No. 13 Crimson Strom repaid Northwestern, taking down the No. 23 Rangers, 81-50, at the Sawyer Center in Bethany.
Northwestern scored the opening basket, but never led after that. The Crimson Storm held a 43-25 halftime lead.
The Rangers had an off-shooting night, hitting 30 percent and making 5-of-20 from three-point range. Northwestern’s only player to find double figures was Orren Tims, who finished with 15 points. Jonathan Freemyer added nine points, while Marshall Bell scored seven.
Southern Nazarene hit 12 three’s while shooting 49 percent from the floor. C.J. Henry’s 20 points paced the Crimson Storm.
Northwestern (16-5, 10-6) will host the University of Science and Arts on Saturday, Feb. 12 for an 8 p.m. game at Percefull Fieldhouse.
