Edmond, Okla. – The Northwestern women’s basketball team suffered a 72-48 loss to No. 24 Oklahoma Christian at the Eagles’ Nest in Edmond on Monday night.
The Lady Rangers opened the game with a lead, but that lead was tarnished six minutes into the game and never relinquished.
Oklahoma Christian doubled up Northwestern for a 36-18 halftime lead.
Northwestern had a dismal shooting night, hitting 29 percent and connectin on 7-of-25 three’s. Autumn Klugh was the Lady Rangers’ leading scorer and rebounder with 12 points and eight rebounds. Annalena Farias contributed with seven points, while three players chipped in four points each.
Oklahoma Christian knocked down 48 percent of its shots while Brittany Kennedy led OC with 14 points.
The Lady Rangers (7-5, 1-3) will be idle until 2010, when they play host to John Brown (Ark.) on Saturday, Jan. 2.
