Northwestern Oklahoma State juniors Geoff Elliott and Matt Lebeda were two of 231 student-athletes that received the distinction of being a 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Football Scholar-Athlete.
“I am extremely proud of Geoff and Matt,” stated head coach Keith Barefield. “Not only have they represented our football program with distinction on the playing field, but they have equally distinguished themselves academically. They are well deserving of this high honor.”
Eliott is an offensive lineman from Wakita, while Lebeda is a tight end hailing from Medford.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
