Northwestern Oklahoma State forward Orren Tims has been named the Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 6-12.

Tims, a 6-5 senior from Ruston, La., scored a season-high 33 points and hauled down 10 rebounds in a 73-52 win over Oklahoma Christian on Monday night. He added two steals, shot 65 percent (11-17) from the field and 80 percent (8-10) from the free throw line. 

Currently, Tims is ranked 17^th in scoring in the NAIA with a 19.6 point per game average.
