SHAWNEE – Northwestern seniors Krystle Noda and Kevin Strawn paced the Ranger cross country teams at the Sooner Athletic Conference cross country meet held in Shawnee on Saturday.
Noda finished 28th out of the 73 runners in the field, with a time of 21:19 in the five kilometer run. Shannon Rose took 46th with a 22:37, while Shelby Ashcraft was 54th, recording a 23:30. Yareli Resendiz ran a 25:35 and Mercedes Key was 67th with a 25:44. Also running for Northwestern were Desirae Guffy (26:31), Allison Fischer (28:19) and Sapana Kadel (29:12). As a team, the women placed 9th out of the 10-team field.
In the men’s eight kilometer race, Strawn paced NWOSU with a 27:16 that put him in 38 out of 81 runners. Jordan Sanders recorded a 28:24 for 51st. Chaunce Carrico and William Navarro were in 71st and 72nd place, respectively, both running a 32:33. Rabi Tamrakar finished with a 35:34, while Dipesh Sharma ran a 40:00. The men’s team was 9th out of 10 teams.
