RANGER SOCCER CLOSES SEASON OUT AT ROGERS STATE

The Northwestern Oklahoma State soccer team closed out the 2009 soccer season in Claremore, dropping a 3-0 contest to Rogers State University.

Roger State scored twice in the first half and added a third goal 10 minutes into the second half.

The Rangers got off six shots and landed three on goal, with Nicole Leffingwell taking two of the six shots. Northwestern attempted four shots in the first half and two in the final period.

The Hillcats landed 13 of their 27 shots on goal, while senior Ranger goalkeeper Dana Gandolfo picked up 10 saves in her final game as a Ranger.

Northwestern closed out the season at 1-16 overall and 1-9 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. Gandolfo is the only senior that will be lost to graduation from next year’s squad.
