ALVA – Audrey Richmond led the Lady Rangers with 32 points as Northwestern advanced to 3-1 on the season with a 92-80 win over Oklahoma Wesleyan in Percefull Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.
Richmond and Autumn Klugh combined for 52 points, as both players were the only Lady Rangers in double figures. Klugh finished with 20 points along with three of Northwestern’s six three-pointers. Richmond hit 12-of-19 from the floor and added eight free throws, while also being the game’s high-rebounded with 11 boards.
Northwestern held a 41-29 lead at the half and led by as many as 26 points in the second half. The Lady Rangers held onto the lead for all but the first four minutes of the game.
In a foul-happy game, 62 fouls were called, with Northwestern being whistled for 32. Sixty points were scored from the free throw line, as the Lady Rangers hit 26-of-34 from the charity stripe, while the Lady Eagles were 34-of-47.
Northwestern shot 41 percent on the night and limited Oklahoma Wesleyan to 29 percent from the floor and to 27 percent from beyond the arc.
Northwestern (3-1) will be back in Percefull Fieldhouse on Saturday, Nov. 20 for a 5 p.m. game with Bethany College (Kan.).
