EDMOND – Taylor Marsh scored an early goal, while Kelsey Archer posted her first shutout of the season in the net, giving Northwestern a 1-0 win over Oklahoma Christian in Edmond on Saturday. The win lifts NWOSU to 4-7 on the season and to 1-3 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.

Northwestern’s Taylor Marsh scored her fifth goal of the season just eight minutes into the game, giving the Rangers the eventual game-winning goal. Brittany Bunch aided in the goal and was credited with the assists.

Oklahoma Christian shot 10 times in the first half, with Archer saving the three shots on goal. Archer picked up two more saves in the second half to finish the game with five and grab her first shutout of the season.

Northwestern shot seven times in the match, with four shots landing on goal.
