RANGER RODEO TEAM PLACES SECOND, WOMEN 7TH AT PRATT

RANGER RODEO TEAM PLACES SECOND, WOMEN 7TH AT PRATTPRATT, Kan. – The Ranger Rodeo Team finished second, while the women took seventh place at the Pratt Community College Rodeo from October 2-4. The men’s team finished 185 points back from Fort Scott Community College. Northwesen’s Northwestern’s women’s placed seventh in the seven team event.

 

Northwestern was awarded three second place finishes, with Clay Cudmore finishing second in bull riding, Tyrell Reynolds taking second in tie down roping and Paul Tierney coming in second in steer wrestling.

 

In addition to Cudmore in bull riding, Steven Flitz was awarded third. Two more Rangers placed in tie down roping; Cole Wilson placed third while Clint Kindred took sixth in the event.

 

In bareback riding, Chancy Lovinggood finished in fourth place and Tanner Braden took sixth in team roping as a heeler.

 

The women placed in five of nine spots in breakaway roping. Karly Benzie won the event while Kate Hansen finished third. Kaylee Nelson tied for fourth. Michelle Bartley and Jacey Jandreau finished back-to-back, holding down sixth and seventh place.

 

Gabriel Gregg finished in fourth in goat tying to round out the Ranger women.

 

The Ranger Rodeo Team’s next performance will be at Southeastern Oklahoma State on Oct. 8-10.
