ALVA – Northwestern gave up four goals in the second half, leading to a 4-0 loss to Rogers State University at the Alva Rec. Complex on Saturday.
Neither team scored in the opening half, with the Rangers outshooting the Hillcats 11-7 in the opening period.
A minute and 48 seconds after the second period began, RSU scored on a penalty kick, following a NWOSU foul in the box. The Hillcats second goal came 10 minutes later on another penalty kick.
Rogers State scored two more goals, one at the 75th minute and one under five minutes remaining, taking the 4-0 victory.
Five Rangers shot on the afternoon, as Taylor Marsh and Christina Nunez both took five shots. The Rangers landed four shots of its 16 taken.
Northwestern (6-11, 3-7) will play its final game of the season on Tuesday, Nov. 2, when they host USAO in a 4 p.m. match.
