Over fall break, the Northwestern soccer team was defeated 5-0 by Oklahoma City University on Thursday and were downed 7-0 by Southern Nazarene on Saturday. Both games were hosted by Northwestern at the Alva Rec. Complex.
On Thursday against OCU, the Stars shot 30 times with 18 shots on goal, while NWOSU got a shot off in each half. Vanessa Lopez and Micah Mairs each had a shot on goal.
Dana Gandolfo picked up 13 saves, with 10 of them coming in the first half.
Against Southern Nazarene, the Crimson Storm went into the half with a 5-0 advantage. The Rangers shot seven times in the match as Gandolfo posted 17 saves in the match.
The Rangers will play their third game of a three-game homestand on Wednesday, Oct. 21 at the Alva Rec. Complex. Kick off against St. Gregory’s is set for 4 p.m.
