KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Olaf Tunberg led the Ranger golf team in the Blue Devil Classic hosted by Kansas City Community College at Dub’s Dread Golf Club in Kansas City, while the Northwestern golf team finished in fifth place.
Collectively, the Rangers shot two rounds of 331 for a team score of 662.
Tunberg turned in a 74 on Monday and shot a 78 on Tuesday to lead NWOSU. Bryant Briggs came in a tie for 16th with an 80-81—161, while Jay Lee carded an 81-86—167 for 31st in the field of 82 golfers. Jeremy Repp shot a 169 and was followed by Chadd Kunkel’s 171. Ty Billey finished with a 178, while Tyler Mays shot 187.
Northwestern will resume golf action during next semester.
