BETHANY, Okla. – The Ranger soccer team was on the short end of a 6-1 game in Bethany, as Northwestern fell to Southern Nazarene on Tuesday afternoon.
Northwestern was only able to fire off four shots, as Taylor Marsh shot twice and Christina Nunez and Nicolle Davis each got a shot off.
After SNU jumped out to a 6-0 lead, Nunez scored her third goal of the year off an assist from Davis. The goal came in the 81st minute of the match.
The Crimson Storm had no trouble shooting, taking 34 shots on the night and landing half of them on goal. SNU took 11 shots in the first half and 23 in final period.
Kelsey Archer finished with 10 saves for the game.
Northwestern is now 5-9 on the season and 2-5 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. The Rangers will host St. Gregory’s University on Saturday, Oct. 23 in a 5 p.m. game.
