Northwestern Oklahoma State swept the CSFL Player of the Week honors for the third time this season, as Korey Williams, Rocky Lee and Edgar Colmenares were announced as winning the award on Monday. The Rangers defeated Bacone College 51-14 on Saturday.
A senior wide receiver from New Orleans, Williams earned Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second consecutive week. He hauled in 13 catches for 127 yards and three scores in the Rangers’ win over Bacone. Williams also rushed once for a four-yard gain.
Lee earned his second CSFL Defensive Player of the Week honor after wrapping up 15 tackles, including five solo tackles, in Northwestern’s win over Bacone. The Jonesboro, Ga. native added 3.5 tackles for loss, amounting to 11 lost yards and had 1.5 sacks.
Colmenares scored 15 points, making field goals of 23, 27, and 29-yards. He was 6-of-6 in extra points and had nine kickoffs that averaged 63.4 yards. It was the third time the freshman from Pauls Valley has received the Special Teams Player of the Week honor.
Northwestern (4-2, 3-0) will next play Langston on the road on Saturday, Oct. 23 in a 2 p.m. game.
