STERLING, Kan. – In its last tournament of the fall season, Northwestern Oklahoma State’s men’s golf team turned in a second place performance at the Sterling Invitational played at the Highlands Golf Club in Hutchinson, Kan. on Oct. 11-12.
The Rangers shot a 340 on Monday to put them in fourth place, but by shaving 11 strokes on Tuesday, with a 329, Northwestern jumped to second place, behind the host Sterling College.
Jay Lee shot the low total for Northwestern, carding a 79-82—161, putting him in a tie for seventh place. Bryant Briggs tied for 12th with an 88-79—167, while Kyle Ward tied for 14th, shooting an 84-84—168. Benjamyn Eastes finished in a tie for 23rd with an 89-84—173 and Chad Piper shot a 95-100-195 to tie for 51st.
Northwestern closed out the fall golf season and will resume in the spring.
