OKLAHOMA CITY – The Northwestern women’s basketball team came up empty-handed in Oklahoma City, falling 63-42 to Mid-America Christian on Saturday night. The loss left Northwestern at a 7-6 overall mark and at 3-5 in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
Northwestern scored 21 points in each half and trailed 38-21 at the break.
The Lady Rangers hit 26 percent of their shots and was 4-of-24 from three-point range. All 17 players got in the game with no one finding double figures. Talytha Williams led the way with eight points, while Mandy Norman had seven.
Mid-America Christian shot 41 percent from the field and only hit one more three than the Lady Rangers. Three Lady Evangels led the way with 10 points.
Northwestern (7-6, 3-5) will host St. Gregory’s on Thursday, Jan. 13 for a 6 p.m. tip-off.
