ALVA, Okla. – The Northwestern cheerleading squad will be heading to Oklahoma City on Saturday, Feb. 5 to compete in the first ever NAIA regional competition. The competition will begin at 5 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center.

Twelve teams will be competing, including: Bethany (Kan.), McPherson (Kan.), Haskell Indian Nations (Kan.), College of the Ozarks (Mo.), St. Gregory’s, Mid-America Christian, Oklahoma City, Wayland Baptist (Tex.), Great Falls (Mont.), Rocky Mountain (Mont.) and California Baptist. Admission is free to the event.
The winner of the competition will get a bid to go to the National Cheerleaders Association National Championship in Daytona, Fla.
