CLAREMORE, Okla. – The Northwestern Lady Rangers’ shooting struggled against Rogers State University on Monday, leading to a 63-45 loss at the Claremore Expo Center.
Northwestern wasn’t able to convert a three-pointer in 11 attempts on the night and wasn’t able to recover from a 33-26 halftime deficit.
Rogers State held the Lady Rangers to 34 percent from the floor, while the Lady Hillcats were only 33 percent themselves. RSU hit 6-of-16 three-pointers and was led by the SAC’s number three scorer, Jenny Hardin, who had 18 points.
Keindra Scott led the Lady Rangers with a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds. Claudia Vazquez and Audrey Richmond both posted nine points each.
The Lady Rangers, now 8-6 overall and 2-4 in SAC play, host USAO in a 6 p.m. game at Percefull Fieldhouse on Thursday, Jan. 7.
