ALVA, Okla. – After Northwestern downed the Lady Hillcats of Rogers State in Claremore by three points in early-December, Rogers State returned the favor, defeated the Lady Rangers 86-61 at Percefull Fieldhouse on Saturday.
With the score tied at 20-20 with just over seven minutes before the half, RSU went on an 18-4 run to go into halftime with a 38-24 lead. The Lady Hillcats went up by as many as 31 points in the second half.
Northwestern shot 39 percent from the floor and hit two of 10 three-pointers. Audrey Richmond and Claudia Vazquez posted a game-high of 11 points each for Northwestern.
Rogers State canned 49 percent of its shots, but NWOSU limited them to just two three-pointers in 10 attempts. The Lady Hillcats were led by Angie Criner’s 19 points.
Northwestern (8-11, 4-10) will head to Oklahoma City on Thursday, Feb. 3 for a 6 p.m. game with Oklahoma City University.
