LUBBOCK, Tex. – In the first game of the Lady Rangers two-game swing in Texas, Northwestern got a rude awakening, as No. 12 Lubbock Christian defeated NWOSU 81-41 at the Rip Griffin Center in Lubbock.
Shots didn’t fall for the Lady Rangers as they hit only 28 percent on the night. Autumn Klugh was the only Lady Ranger to hit a three-pointer out of 15 Lady Ranger attempts.
D’Shanna Butler paced NWOSU with 11 points and was followed by Emily Gilbert and Leandra Johnson’s eight points.
Lubbock Christian had four players with double figures, as Jordan Hampton had a game-high with a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds.
Northwestern was beat on the boards, 44-24.
The Lady Rangers (7-9, 2-8) round up their Texas swing with a 1 p.m. game against Wayland Baptist on Saturday, Jan. 24 in Plainview.
