LUBBOCK, Tex. – The Lady Ranger basketball team was defeated in their first of two games in Texas, dropping a 78-48 game to Lubbock Christian University on Thursday.
Northwestern trailed the entire game and found itself down by as many as 37 points late in the second half.
The Lady Rangers shot 35 percent and hit five three-pointers, while shooting just 3-for-16 from the free throw line. Hannah Guthrie led the way for NWOSU with seven points, while five players finished with six points.
Lubbock Christian was paced by Courtney Wilson’s 13 points, shot 41 percent on the evening and capitalized off of 25 Northwestern turnovers.
Northwestern (8-8, 4-7) will take on Wayland Baptist University (Tex.) on Saturday, Jan. 22 at 1 p.m.
