OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Lady Rangers dropped to 9-8 on the season and to 3-6 in the Sooner Athletic Conference with an 88-75 loss to Mid-America Christian on Thursday night.
Northwestern couldn’t recover from a 47-30 halftime deficit, but outscored Mid-America Christian 45-41 in the second half.
The Lady Rangers upped their shooting percentage in the second half to shot 31 percent on the night. They hit 7-of-22 three-pointers and were 30-of-43 from the free throw line.
Three starters hit double figures and combined for 41 points as Autumn Klugh led NWOSU with 18 points, making three of the seven Lady Rangers’ three-pointers. Rachel Wilczek picked up her first double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Claudia Vazquez finished with 11 points.
Mid-America Christian finished just under 50 percent shooting on the night with Karina Trindade leading all scorers with 20 points.
Despite outrebounded the Lady Evangels 47-30, turnovers plagued the Lady Rangers, as they coughed up the ball 37 times.
Northwestern (9-8, 3-6) hosts Oklahoma City on Saturday, Jan. 16 for a 6 p.m. game.
