Rangers Enter NAIA Poll at No. 24

Rangers Enter NAIA Poll at No. 24Northwestern Oklahoma State’s men’s basketball team cracked the January 10 NAIA Men’s Basketball Poll at No. 24. The Rangers (11-5, 5-3) were last ranked on March 2, 2009, when they also assumed a No. 24 ranking.

Northwestern currently is in a three-way tie for third place in the Sooner Athletic Conference with John Brown and Lubbock Christian with a 5-3 conference mark. The Rangers are a game and a half back of first place Oklahoma Baptist.

Last week, Northwestern downed No. 12 Southern Nazarene and No. 21 Oklahoma City University. Earlier this season, the Rangers defeated No. 18 Oklahoma Christian.

The Rangers will host St. Gregory’s University on Thursday, Jan. 13 when Percefull Fieldhouse will convert into a wall of white as part of the school’s “White Out” festivities. Ranger fans are encouraged to wear white clothing, paint their faces and bring signs to the game, and Northwestern will help in that cause by giving the first 700 fans free white Ranger Nation t-shirts.
