BETHANY, Okla. – The Northwestern women were edged out 76-71 by Southern Nazarene in a battle during Saturday night’s game at the Sawyer Center in Bethany.
Despite a 35-29 lead at the half, Southern Nazarene came on hot during the second half, shooting 54 percent and hitting 6-of-9 from beyond the arc. Lana Keith scored more than half of the Crimson Storm’s points, hitting 9-of-12 three-pointers on her way to scoring 39 points.
Northwestern was led by Autumn Klugh’s 20 points, which featured five three-pointers. Keindra Scott recorded her team-high third double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds and Rachel Wilczek chipped in 10 points and four steals.
As a team, NWOSU was 35 percent from the field, hit 9-of-34 three’s and was 12-of-19 from the charity stripe.
The Lady Rangers (9-7, 3-5) will be in action on Thursday in Oklahoma City against Mid-America Christian at 6 p.m.
